Evidence-Based Social Work

The Campbell Collaboration: Social Welfare Group - Named after the late social psychologist Donald Campbell who was interested in encouraging experimentation and evidence-based social policy, the organization aims to help people make well-informed decisions about the effects of interventions in the social, behavioral and educational arenas. Its Social Welfare Coordinating Group (SWCG) is an international network of people interested in the effects of social programs. They prepare, update, and disseminate high-quality systematic reviews of research conducted worldwide on effective methods to promote social welfare, health, and social justice.

EPPI Centre - Part of the Social Science Research Unit at the Institute of Education, University of London, The Evidence for Policy and Practice Information and Coordinating Centre conducts systematic reviews of research evidence across a range of topics, including education, health promotion, employment, social care, crime and justice.

Evidence-Based Practice in Social Work - a resource guide prepared by the Social Work Library, University of Michigan

Research in Practice for Adults - a research utilization organization for adult social care in U.K. The organization has been established following a request from a network of local service agencies who wish to replicate, in adult social care, the services currently provided by research in practice in the child and family field.

The Research Institute for Evidence-Based Social Work, University of Toronto - The Institute for Evidence-Based Social Work is building a bridge between social work research and the communities it serves. The aim is to make research knowledge accessible to practitioners and policy makers in order to ensure that consumers of social work services and programs obtain services that are best suited to meet their needs.
