What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. It is an XML(Extensible Markup Language)-based format for delivering regularly changing web content. Using RSS, web content providers can easily create and distribute feeds of data such as news links, headlines, and summaries. This makes RSS a great way to keep up to date content that available on the web. Rather than having to regularly visit your favorite websites to see if there is any new content, RSS alerts you of the new content via feeds.
How do I read RSS?
To subscribe to any RSS feeds, you need to install an RSS reader on your computer. An RSS reader can check RSS feeds periodically and display any updated content that it finds. There are a variety of desktop and web-based feed readers available for different platforms and browsers. To the right is a listing of RSS readers you may consider.
